I’m laying in my bed alone; with crisp free Egyptian cotton linen,

I’m laying in my bed alone; with a cool fan on my face,

I’m laying in my bed alone; with no one to disturb my sleep,

I’m laying in my bed alone; with no one to aid it either,

i’m laying in my bed alone; with only a cool pillow to snuggle up to,

I’m laying in my bed alone; with only my thoughts to keep me company,

I’m laying in my bed alone; I should be able to sleep,

but I can’t; because I’m laying in my bed alone.

Lol.

I used to live with a lass and at night we couldn’t sleep so we’d talk.

But talking through the walls and across a landing was difficult at best.

So if she couldn’t sleep and wanted to talk, I’d get into bed with her and we’d talk and watch a bit of TV until she fell asleep, then I’d eventually fall asleep.

It was never anything sexual, it was the company.

There’s your problem, you should be lying in bed, not laying in bed. That’s what’s keeping you up at night.
